Thanks, Tom for the great coverage. Mr. Foiles, Mr. Coates and I appreciate your work and your interest. By the way...
What Patricia Kelly Shermer did not mention in her comment above, is that her father was Hall of Famer, George "High Pockets" Kelly!
It was with Patricia's help that her father became one of my favorite subjects in my first book, "So Many Summer Fields." Mr. Kelly must have been a true gentleman as well as a wonderful father and family man.
Many thanks also go to Kohei Nirengi, who helped us make the connection with BASEBALL BY THE LETTERS.
DOUG WILLIAMS

Found this very interesting. Doug is a good friend and because of him I have met Hank on several occasions. My dear friend Kohei sent me this artcle and I am grateful to him. I wish that my Dad could be here to enjoy what Doug has and is doing to keep the memory of these wonderful ball players alive. Kohei is someone that my dad would especially love to know as my Dad was part of the Exbition Team that went to Japan so many years ago. Patricia Kelly Shermer, Yorktown Va
