And I’m sure his autograph was readable, and not a “seismograph” reading like today’s players. This story reminds me of the time I met hockey player Johnny “Peanuts” O’Flaherty. He was a gentleman, wore a suit and tie, and even though he was in his ’80’s at that time, he still stood up and shook your hand and thanked you for coming, after he signed for you. A true class act just like Mize. Sadly both are gone.
