					<description><![CDATA[Last week my girlfriend and I went down to San Diego&quot;for my birthday&quot; to see the Dodgers play the Padres.We were looking for two seats when a nice man gave us two tickets.It so happens are seats were next to Dave Garcia.After three innings I felt like Dave enriched my life with all his stories.He is a truly special person.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s been a few years now, but I wrote to Mr. Garcia to see if he had any stories or photographs from his early playing days in Eau Claire, WI for a book I was working on.  He looked up my phone number and called one day, leaving a message to call him back.  So I did.  He was on the way back home from a game and he talked with me for over an hour.  Then, a few weeks later and quite unexpectedly, he sent me a bunch of photos from his scrapbook.  I had to completely re-work my book layout in about a day, but it was SO worth it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just a few months ago, he sent another 8x10 of him in an Eau Claire uniform (I had not seen it before) to be auctioned off at our EC Baseball Hall of Fame event.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What a truly special person he is!]]></description>
